What is it?
The Smallville Virtual Season... what is it, you ask? Well, it may seem complicated, but it’s really not. Here is everything you need to know about the virtual season, all written as simple and as easy to understand as possible.
A virtual season is an entire season of a show written by some of its biggest fans and supporters. Just like the actual show, a new "episode" premieres each week, written by a fan. Then, another writer continues from where they left off and writes their own "episode". There will be 22 complete episodes in one virtual season, written by various writers.
Just so you’re clear, this is NOT a season two of the show, this is our own take on our own season, and that allows a lot of different things to be able to happen, while still remaining true to the show and sticking to most of it’s roots. So, each of our "episodes" will resemble real episodes of the show, they’ll be the Superman action elements, but also the strong character storylines. (ex: Clark and Lana becoming closer)
This project was started as a way for die-hard Smallville fans to be able to get through the long periods of re runs, as way of helping them get their Smallville-fix. That is our main objective, entertaining readers but also ourselves. No one is really sure where this can go, but it’s sure to guarantee some fun. A Virtual Smallville Season Two will happen if the first one goes smoothly and people enjoy it... and if there is a demand for another.
If you are interested please post an "audition" piece of writing on the message board, or send it to Suz. For information about the "audition", please check out the thread at our Message Board, which tells you all about it and how you can write one and send it in.
Hopefully that cleared some things up and answered some of your questions. If you are still confused or have questions not answered here, check the Smallville Virtual Season FAQ or our message board!
