She Walks With Him
By Wayne1

She walks with him,
Though there are times she insists on leading;
Sometimes she prefers HE go ahead.
Still, whether ahead or behind,
Or beside,
She walks with him.

She walks with him,
Down the aisle and out of the church
And into the rest of their lives.
Smiles and tears, Pain and joy
But through it all,
She walks with him.

She walks with him,
Away from the dreams others had in store
For from the first day she saw him
Those dreams were no longer hers
His dreams became theirs so
She walks with him.

She walks with him,
Unafraid of the perils that may lie ahead,
Certain that their love will overcome;
Alone she may show weakness and fear
Which is just another reason
She walks with him.

She walks with him,
No matter where the road may lead
No matter how rough the terrain
For at the end of the road
There are streets of gold
Where she’ll again walk with him.
